Virus wall and mail servers upon a LINUX basis
Since the beginning of 2002, we have tested multiple mail servers, including virus wall systems, owing to customer mandates.
In this regard, we have naturally tried to take particularly security aspects into consideration, but have also emphasised user-friendly interfaces for management and modular extensibility.
Our customers gave us the following requirements:
- Stability of the systems
- Low costs for software licenses
- Low cost of operation
- Little training required
- Browser-based administration
- Safety in Virus Protection
- Integration into existing environments (NT / Windows)
- Maintenance of online documents by content management system
- Groupware functionality (central address, calendar, to-do lists, etc.)
As a standardised solution, we can now provide a mail server / virus wall environment which is cost-effective and based upon LINUX.
